It is not uncommon for people to spend their whole life waiting to start living.
– Eckhart Tolle
Welcome Friend!
If you want to wake up to a happy life with mindfulness, you are in the right place.
Just like you, I am an ordinary person in the midst of a busy life, juggling a variety of roles (e.g. mother, full-time career woman). My weekdays seem to be a steady stream of activities; getting my two kids out of bed and off to school and getting myself ready for a non-stop day at work. In the past my days would fly by, with a hectic nature that would leave me feeling exhausted and less than satisfied. My life was full, but I seemed to be living so much of it on autopilot and not truly experiencing each moment fully. Was I enjoying my life? Was I happy?
And then it hit me – THIS IS LIFE. If I am not happy now, when will I be?
I needed to find that one important missing ingredient in my life – true happiness. If I want to be happy in my life, now is the time to do it.
What about you?
Do you want to be happy?
I mean really happy. Like happy every single day. Like not waiting for the weekend happy. Unconditionally happy.
If your answer is yes, or even if you are unsure but feel curious, you are in the right place. Through my book, Good Morning, Life! One Woman Waking Up to Happiness, One Moment at a Time you will get a deeper view into my journey, including research and practice. On this site I will also share experiences and insights through blog posts, inspirational quotes and pictures. It is a place for inspiration, support and encouragement on the journey to live life in inner peace and happiness.
Wake up to a happy life starting with mindfulness
As I embarked on the goal of living every day in inner peace and happiness, I found the starting point is mindfulness! It is a process of rewiring perceptions, slowing down and finding purpose. It is a continuous journey that takes practice to break old mind patterns and habits. But it is not hard. As Buddhist monk, Thich Nhat Hanh says, “How hard is it to look at a cloud?” We can all do it!
I look forward to sharing this space with you as we wake up to a happy life with mindfulness!
With love and gratitude on the journey,
Barbara
